The Story of my Blog Title

Quilt of Dragonflies- My blog is named that for a reason.I am lucky enough to own a genuine Quilt of Dragonflies, which I am sure brings me good dreams when I sleep beneath it. It was given to me by a friend of my mother's, who handmade the entire thing. Color meets pattern in this fantastic piece of artwork which sits on my bed. Brilliant shades of purple, blue, and green intersperse with tie dye dragonflies. I will not hesitate to call it my inspiration.

About

This blog is a mixture of therapy, whimsical poetry, silly and serious quotes, tidbits of life advice (whether good or bad, I am not sure yet), and basically the day to day ramblings of an aspiring poet and photographer. I write a poem every day that I can, which is most days, and I try out different types of poetry and writing whenever it tickles my fancy. I participate in several regular writing activities like Write on Wednesdays and Five Sentence Fiction, and I love any comments or constructive criticism readers have to offer.

My poems are not meant to be masterpieces, I rarely edit the ones I write for this blog, and I realized that I have typos sometimes. The point of having this blog is to get my thoughts out there, and just to write as much as I can, no matter how little it is or how strange it may sound.

I also have several blogging projects in other places that you should check out if you like what I do here. Though I try not to be addicted to technology, I have a fair number of projects running at the moment.

Where are the desks? is my other blog, which is exploring my special schooling this year and more life ramblings. It tends to have more photographs than this blog.

The Historical Society blog contains a specific project called Exhibit Highlights, where I research objects and write about them for the blog.

Mad About Your Sport is a sports blog from England where I occasionally write articles about international soccer, which is one of my passions.

Project 365 If you like any pictures on my blog, they are probably also here with a lot of other fun shots. This year I am taking a photo every day and posting it on this site, so you should really check it out if you are a photography type.

If there is anything else you are dying to know, just leave a comment on one of my posts...

Claire
